DIY Bird Feeder!

I hate throwing away things so when I saw this I knew I had to do it, best of all  I just cut a orange in half give it to the chicken and 15 minutes later the orange is completely cleaned out and with no mess!!! Also there light weight so they won't weigh down your tree branch's!

You can find step by step directions here

Happy Leap Year!

nyhistory.org
   According to an old Irish legend, St Bridget struck a deal with St Patrick to allow women to propose to men  – every 4 years. This is believed to have been introduced to balance the traditional roles of men and women in a similar way to how Leap Day balances the calendar.

Happy Valentines Day!

Did you know: In the Middle Ages, young men and women drew names from a bowl to see who would be their Valentine. They would wear this name pinned onto their sleeves for one week for everyone to see. This was the origin of the expression "to wear your heart on your sleeve."

Curtains & Dogs....

I need new curtains! My wild and crazy golden retriever ripped them the other day while attacking the mail man threw the window! I'm not sure exactly what i'm going to go with theres so many amazing options out there!!!
    One option i was thinking of was simple burlap curtains. One I love the price but i also really love how burlap allows the light to pour into a room and still gives you that privacy!
@asimplelifeafloat.blogspot.com

I love this fabric so I'm even debating on sewing my own curtains... I have never done curtains before, but how hard could it be...you can find this amazing fabric at premierfabric.com

Relax

Its the Weekend!!!

Updates..

So a couple Weeks ago I Posted a simple Burlap wreath I did... I Decided it was a little bland and since spring was on its way i figured maybe it needed a little sprucing up!

This is it Before!

After...I Added some fabric flowers from a couple pieces of fabric i had just laying around!

Best part of this project is it doesn't take any sewing skills i learned how to make the fabric flowers from mysparkle.blogspot.com she does a great job at simply explaining the how to's!

Be Mine!

 Valentines Day is around the corner! Whether you like to spend it alone with your sweetheart or have a Valentines day gathering with friends we have you covered!
This is a great Valentines Day outfit because its something you can go straight from work to out with your valentine!

If your not one for red, Try going with varietys of pink.

Valetines day is a great time to wear that ultra feminin dress! One Way i would add a little valeintines day color is maybe change out the white clutch with a red one, red tights or even a red lip!

Secrets of Simplicity

   A  while ago i read a cute little book about the secret of simplicity by Mary Carlomagno, Which had a lot of great tips on how to live better with less.... I personally love living in Simplicity for two reasons        A. Because i live in a very small home which mean minimal storage and   B. I just work better knowing everything has a place!
  The best part is she brakes it down into seven lessons so you can go at your own pace and has inspiring quotes threw out the book.

Theres beautiful art threw out the book as well!

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

Colors in your home!

  Next Time you paint a room in your home think of how you want to feel and what you want to achieve in that room before choosing a color! The colors we choose in our home have an affect on how we feel when were in that room!!

Yellow makes us feel cheery and warm, Yellow is best used  in a place to evoke energy so its put to best use in children's play rooms!

Blue is liked by most people especially men. It makes us feel peaceful and tranquil. Blues are perfect for space like bedrooms!
@MarthaStewart.com

Red evokes emotions, associated with love, warmth, and comfort. Red also makes people feel hungry so its great to use in kitchens and dinning rooms!
